Oh also my groceries for the day. A Monoprix is like a home. I love this store.

Anyway this is a lovely summer dress with a lovely cross back, closed with a button at the neck and contrasting white stitches. There’s a sewn in braided belt, the cotton is nice and sturdy, ad it comes with an extra button.

Look 16: Vintage Jacket by Cacharel 1960s

(Louise Pascal personal collection)

  • Size 40 (FRANCE)

  • Fabric details 53% linen; 47% Viscose

Very chic jacket from Cacharel, probably from the 60's. A vibrant yellow that will suit any complexion. The fabric is exquisite, very sturdy, and the lining has a moiré effect which looks so nice. It has two pockets coupées dans le biais, so it doesn’t break the line of the jacket. closes with two buttons. Again, bit too big for me, so I'd say it would fit a size M better.

Lovely addition to your summer look, it will add elegance to any dress or pants.

(Ruth Ribeaucourt personal collection)

  • Measurements: 37cm shoulder; 47cm armpit; 42cm waist; 101cm length

This was obviously a very much loved dress as there are quite a few visible mends that have been made by the previous owner, The mends are not entirely noticeable as there is a fantastic print.

Please note that there is notable damage with small tears to the back top right and surrounding the top button. There is one fabric covered button missing. I’ve taken photos to show you these - see the slideshow for more details.

Look 19: Vintage Fruit Salad ensemble

(Louise Pascal personal collection)

Top:

  • Shoulders 35cm; Waist 37cm; Armpits 45cm; Manches 41cm; Length 48cm

Skirt:

  • waist 31cm; Length 98cm

Price: 140 euro PLUS shipping

Another stunning piece that pinches my heart to let it go .. I call it the fruit salad ensemble because of the pattern. You have strawberries and oranges and apple there, as well as flowers and a abreast blue pattern on the skirt. This is entirely hand made, and again by someone who knew what she/he was doing.

The top is very intricate, two puff sleeves with elasticated ends, closed by buttons in the front and tied at the waist with a ribbon, it has three flat pleats between the bosom and the waist. The level of craftsmanship is very high.

This is a synthetic fabric, I don’t know what exactly, probably a type of viscose or polyester, and was probably made in the 70/80s. The fabric has frayed a bit on the inside of the skirt from the friction and because the edges are cut raw, but the stitches prevent it from fraying further.

Closed with a zip and a clasp on the skirt. The skirt is tiny, definitely an XS or a small S. The top would benefit of having some more breast than I do, but fits lovely an XS S

Look 20: Antique 1800s muslin summer top

(Ruth Ribeaucourt personal collection)

Look 21: Christian Lacroix silk shirt

(Louise Pascal personal collection)

  • Manches 59cm, Shoulders 37cm; Armpits 44cm; Length 54cm

  • Price 50 euro PLUS shipping

A playful design by Christian Lacroix, with an abstract motif, this silk shirt will be the star of your outfit. Very casual chic if paired with jeans, you will astonish the room if you wear it with a midi white skirt. It has some small signs of wear on one sleeve, noticeable when worn thanks to the pattern. Would fit an XS/ S

Look 22: Blue Indienne Tunic by IKKS

(Louise Pascal personal collection)

  • Armpits 49cm; Length 58cm

  • Size L

Lovely piece from IKKS which is a French brand known for its bold cuts and urban hippy aesthetic.

This is a lovely blue Indiennes pattern, with a string at the waist. I wore it as a pool dress, but it looks lovely with pants as well. The coton is very soft and comfy to the touch and its straps are made in a very light blue ribbon.

Size L, but I wore it oversized so if you’re a smaller size it would work too, especially as a dress

Price: 15 euro (plus shipping)

Look 23: Lace dress by All Saints

(Louise Pascal personal collection)

  • Shoulders 36,5cm; Armpits 39cm; Waist 30 cm; Length 86 cm

  • This is a true XS

  • Price 60 euro PLUS shipping

Brand new - never been worn. I bought this beauty for a special occasion and removed the tag because I was excited about it, but never got to wear it. It is an broderie anglaise look, very chic and playful. It has little black buttons you could button up completely, or as I would have worn it, open low on the chest, because the top is so strict it allows a bit of playfulness. Then comes the tight waist and its matching sash, also lace. And then you have a lovely voluminous but short skirt, made for twirling, and with pleats at the bottom. Pair it with a straw hat, a picnic box, and off in the fields you go. Pair it with heels and a sleek little bag, and you’re a city queen. It’s a very versatile piece.

  • “Playful little summer caban, with a lovely collar and an equally lovely lining with tiny cocktail glasses. It is extremely cute. You could wear the sleeves with the two white lines, or roll them so to show everyone it’s cocktail time, thanks to the lining. This is a not a serious coat and would be worn in early fall and Spring, but won’t keep you warm during winter. It’s polyester and doesn’t have pockets” Louise Pascal

  • Entirely handmade in silk by a couturier for the owner who had booked a long voyage to India, early 1920s. Unusual embroidered motifs at front and along the bottom.

  • There are signs of wear because it is made of very fine silk, especially under the armpits.

  • The silk is worn, with one small tear on the back, see in photo. Unusually, the dress is accompanied by an embroidered sampler which is believed to be used for repairs. In perfect condition and can be added to sale, see photo.

Look 27: Antique night gown

(Louise Pascal personal collection)

  • L 98cm; Armpits 55cm

Antique French nightgown, in a very nice cotton. This is a sweet piece and I buy every single old nightgown I can find, but I took it too far with this one : this is a size L or XL !

It’s a sweet little piece, you could wear it as a dress if it’s summer ! I do that with the ones that actually don’t make me look like a 10 year old in her mum’s closet !

Look 29: Vintage Summer dress by Ishwar

(Louise Pascal personal collection)

  • Length; 93cm; Armpits 42cm; Waist 46cm

  • Size S or M

  • Price 30 euro PLUS shipping

Lovely summer dress, made from two different cottons. A regular cotton for the body of the dress, and a sheer voile de coton embroidered with a floral pattern on the middle of the chest and on the two flounces of the skirt, which is fully lined. This is a lovely number with tiny bows on the back . Would fit an s or an M.
It has a default which is that the smocks on the back have deteriorated due to the elastic in them, but I’ve worn it like that and no one noticed anything, and it is fixable if you add a new elastic. The quality of the coton as with all Ishwar pieces is great, and the embroidery so sweet. Light as a breeze for a hot summer  !

Black Blouse by Brand Replay

  • Price 10 euro PLUS shipping

This is a nice black silk blouse from replay. Frills and plastron on the breast, small flounce on the bottom with a adjustable string at the waist. It is still in good condition but has been worn some times. The black is slightly faded, but that's the style of the top, and was like this when I purchased it. Works well with and added collar, ar skirt if you want to elevate your look, or some denim shorts.

Note: TWO petticoats are layered here for the lookbook (see below for their details).

Look 37: Vintage Robe by Ishwar circa 1970

(Louise Pascal private collection)

  • Shoulders 33cm; Armpits 55cm; Waist 46cm; Length 106cm

  • Price 80 euro PLUS shipping

Absolutely stunning piece from the band Ishwar, which is a French brand from the 70. All the clothing I found from this brand were of a great quality, and this is no exception.
It has a plastron of lace and short sleeves with three flounces. The body of the dress is meant to be fluffy, and gather low on the hips with a waistband that ends with an unadjustable bow on the hip. The skirt has two flounces and has the same detail work than the top.
It is such a great dress, alas it is too big for me, I’d say it would fit an M or a small L. It is a lovely summer piece that you can extend in the fall with boots and woollen socks and a cardigan. It closes with buttons in the back.

“This is a beautiful beautiful antique shirt that I’m very sad to see go, but it is decidedly too big for me. There is a label that says 44 I’d say it would fit an M or an L. It has a lovely collar that is very flattering, especially if unlike me you have something to fill it with. It has a lovely creamy color and could be worn in summer or in winter with a sweater. It is a bit see through. I couldn’t identify the fabric.” Louise Pascal

This piece has quite some damage, but is so charming I decided to put it up anyway. It's from french brand Noa Noa, and made of a patchwork of fabrics which are all more or less damaged. I'd say it's either because you love it as it is, or if you want to cut it an reuse the fabric. There's fraying, some small holes from where the sequins ripped, and maybe a stain or two. But it is charming, and the fabrics are so lovely.

Look 40: Kimono ensemble

(Louise Pascal private collection)

Jacket:

  • Sleeves 32cm; Shoulders 65c; Length 62cm

Skirt:

  • length 98cm; Waist is adjustable with straps

Price 160 euro for ENSEMBLE PLUS shipping

This is one of the most stunning pieces, it is an entirely handmade, hand stitched kimono inspired ensemble, made of a light blue, purple and brown brocade of flowers that in itself is marvellous. The lining is made of white and purple silk. The top is tied with straps on the inside, velcro straps on the front for a perfect tombé, and push buttons ( it will NOT open ! )

The sleeves are rounded and not square shaped like you would expect a kimono to be, with makes it even more elegant. The back is a bit gathered by two large pleats at the bottom the shirt, going into a waistband which gives definition to the waist. The skirt is entirely adjustable because it is a wrap, so you could wear this from an XS to an L. Also fully lined with white and purple silk. I don’t know who made this but it was obviously an excellent seamstress, everything is impeccable and it is in incredible condition .

(Louise Pascal private collection)

  • Armpits 42cm, Waist 38cm, Length 120cm

  • Price 55 euro PLUS shipping

This is an old Benetton dress, from the 70s, and an Italian size 42, however I’d say its a S for nowadays. It has a pattern of pink daisies with a yellow heart. Closes with buttons, the waist fall pretty low on your hips, and the three flounces gives the skirt a lovely made to twirl volume. It could be worn with either the buttons facing forward or backwards, and then you’ll have a round collar o the front. It’s in a impeccable condition, and looks brand new, the cotton is top quality.

Look 44: Burberry coat

(Louise Pascal private collection)

  • Shoulders 46cm; Sleeves 55cm; Length 120cm; Armpits 51cm

  • SIZE: Medium or Large (or oversized for a Small)

  • Price 160 euro PLUS shipping (36 euro)

“A marvellous camel hair Burberry coat, this will keep you so warm during winter. The color is a deep honey characteristic of the camel hair and incredibly soft, it’s like wearing the softer duvet. Double breasted with buttons, two outside pockets, this the epitome of winter chic. It falls straight. It has some tiny defaults at the bottom of the back of coat due to the moths, but that’s often inevitably the fate of these coats, all my cashmere or camel hair coat end up like this. It is barely noticeable, and doesn’t affect the look or the integrity of the coat. This is such a stunning piece. I wore it oversized but it would be fitted on a M or an L. Fully lined with the Burberry logo, the tag in itself is something to see. It comes out of the dry cleaning, and if taken care of properly ( moth balls !!! ) it will last you years and years.” Louise Pascal

Look 45: Lace Dress Cheap Monday

(Louise Pascal private collection)

  • Shoulders 37cm; Armpits 45cm; Elasticated waist 36cm; L 105cm

  • Price 30 euro PLUS shipping

“Lovely romantic dress from Swedish brand Cheap Monday, bought in Stockholm some years ago. Swedish people are tall so even if this is labelled S I’d say it’s rather an M, especially since it has an elasticated waist. Lovely flowery lace pattern, lined on the skirt and seethrough in the front, with a grey overtop in the style of plastron (?!). It closes with tiny buttons at the back

The skirt is A line and that makes it a great dancing dress. I know because I’ve been to an epic Irish jig wearing it. Transition easily from fall to winter, with tights and a sweater.”

Look 46 (ii) Cotelac skirt

(Louise Pascal private collection)

  • Waist 36cm; Length 78cm

  • “Skirt from French brand Cotélac, this is a lovely eggplant colour, and the thing about that skirt is that it has zip opening you can open and close in the body of the skirt to show the checked fabric inside. I loved it a lot. The checked fabric lining is visible on the bottom of the skirt even if you choose to close at the openings. This is a fall winter skirt made of a blend of polyamide, elastane, polyester and cotton. Closes with a zip and a scratch. Beautiful volume due to the stiffness of the outer fabric.” Louise Pascal

No. 54 Clergerie sandals

  • Size 37 (FR)

  • Price 90 euro PLUS Shipping (26 euro)

French 37, these have been worn once afternoon, so they are basically new. Not a scratch on the inside or on the outside, only signs of wear are i-on the sole. This is a beautiful deep dark gold that goes with everything. If those were my size I would wear them to the bone. Thay are so incredibly elegant, and Robert Clergerie is a very good brand, these were probably around 300 euros new. The leather is so soft and beautiful. If you’re the size don’t hesitate, I’ve been stalking eBay to find these in my size

Those are new, I bought them for myself, never worn them. Carel is a French brand amongst the coolest one, and all of their shoes are made in italy, and you can see this by the quality of the velvety leather and the vibrant red. Those will take you to the French or Italian riviera in a minute. They are compensated but feel flat when you wear them.

The leather is thick, with a patent vernis on band on the top. These are so graphic, they do a great line for your feet.

You can actually walk quite a bit in them ( from another pair actually my size )
