Framed set of ‘Grand tour’ plaster intaglios which were framed in the 19th century and I believe belonged to an E. Picart whose name is embossed in gold on leather at the back of this frame. I imagine this E. Picart completed his grand tour of Europe collecting these intaglios along the way.

There are 11 intaglios which are rimmed with gold. Some are a little worn but this is not too shocking given these are made in plaster and over 150+ years old.

The custom made brown velvet frame allows each intaglio to sit deep into the frame.
Each intaglio is rimmed in gold.
