Wonderful early 20th Century book (circa 1930), Encylopedia Des Ouvrages Des Dames

A real treasure for embroiderers, vintage ephemera collectors, vintage textile lovers.

This petite antique book is a treasure for collectors or practitioners of antique textile arts. Entitled Encyclopedie Des Ouvrages De Dames, it is a very thorough manual of the sewing arts
with over 800 pages of print description and engraving and photographic illustrations.

It does not have a date, but through research I believe it was published in the first decade of the 20th century,

Written by Therese De Dilmont and published in Mulhouse, Alsace. This sage green cloth bound volume is stated to be the Nouvelle edition revue et augmented.

This book contains chapters with detailed explanations on how to master the fine textile arts practiced by women throughout the 17th, 18th, 19th and beginning of the 20th century.

This book itself is in excellent condition. It is only the paper cover which is in used condition but the cloth bound book underneath is in perfect condition.
