First haircut

We are a little puzzled as to where he gets his unruly curls from as we both have pretty straight hair so after 18 months and 10 days worth of loving cultivation it had gotten beyond the point of cute baby curls and even surpassed the fashionable 'just got out of bed' look a few weeks earlier. Is it always this hard to part with baby curls? I took one last photo of Louis and his wild mane before it got tidied up, just in case they never grow back
