Wind, Rain, Tarte au Citron and New Friends

As the uncannily accurate french meteo had predicted - we were to batten down the hatches for the weekend....the wind howled through the shutters and the rain seeped in under the doors and at certain points through the limestone walls, definitely a weekend for layering up, lighting the fire and cooking up some serious comfort food.... The wonderful artist, Anne Virlange and musician/artist Patrick Solvet came over on Sunday for a long, relaxed lunch, guitar case under one arm and a gentle border collie called 'Wale' under the other...and as the last slice of Annes homemade Tarte au citron was polished off, the music started....magic!

I had been lucky enough to visit Anne's studio in Goult earlier in the week and she creates really beautiful mixed media  collages - here are two of my favourites but you should go to her website here to see more!

And of course I have to recommend you listen to this tune,"Je te Dirai",  that Patrick shared with us - we all danced around the living room to it - it's going to be a big hit when his album is released later this year!
